Optimization of ECG Registration Module for PC

ABSTRACT

The measurement and registration of biopotentials and their fluctuations as a function of the time are of a great importance for diagnostics, as they can be used to judge about the state and functioning of the organs. The study of the electrical activity of the heart allows the diagnosing of the pathologies during the heart’s function and the appropriate treatment of the patient. This paper presents the development of portable measurement electronic amplifier module, using the PC sound card or a smart phone-tablet. There was an improvement of a software made, which is programmed in Java for Windows operating system. It can add functions of low-frequency and high-frequency filters, continuous recording and ECG printing.
