Short‐term and long‐term outcomes after preventive surgery in adolescent patients with familial adenomatous polyposis

APC gene pathogenic variants are characterized by a lifetime risk of nearly 100% to develop a colorectal carcinoma. International guidelines suggest a prophylactic surgery in the second decade.
