Compact Antenna Array for LTE1.8GHz Electric Power Wireless Communication

ABSTRACT

The LTE technology, which adopts OFDM and MIMO, can meet the needs of electric power wireless communication for automatic distribution business. This paper designs a two-element MIMO antenna array which may be applied to the LTE1.8GHz electric power wireless communication systems. The antenna array has high port isolation by using the defect ground structure (DGS) while maintaining a compact structure. The simulation results show that the antenna array has a port isolation of about 15 dB and small size, which is suitable for usage in the terminal devices of the power distribution network.
