ABSTRACT

which can remain in the stomach for 12 months. This method is used for patients who 1) need a surgery, but whose excessive weight would put them risk or reduces their likelihood of good outcome, 2) patients who refuse bariatric surgery or would benefi t from a “bridge” to bariat-Morbid obesity treatment with an intragastric balloon leads to cognitive improvements. These improvements are not associated with mood changes.
