ABSTRACT

India is a multilingual country where the spoken language changes after every 50 kilometres. Therefore there is no single universal language. Globalization brought the need to have knowledge of English but only 5 percent of the population is familiar with English and the rest of the population uses different languages. Lack of knowledge of English becomes a hindrance in the progress of science and technology in India due to language barrier. The main purpose of OCR(Optical Character Recognition) Assisted Translator using Flutter is to bring down that barrier by enabling people to translate any form of content from English to native language and native language to English, by simply taking a picture of the content they want to translate.
