Highlights • High expression of ITGA6 was related to poor overall survival in patients with oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC).• ITGA6 had high diagnostic accuracy value in OSCC.• ITGA6 was identified and validated as an efficient diagnostic and prognostic biomarker in OSCC.
