ABSTRACT

A study was conducted to increase the distinctiveness of coniferous and deciduous forest vegetation by combining spectral channels and images for different seasons of the year received from the Landsat-7 satellite. The differences of the analyzed rocks were determined by the distance in brightness and spectral angle between the vectors of their spectral brightness. The combination of spectral channels made it possible to increase the maximum difference of rocks by more than 1.35 times. When combining channels, it also became possible to determine the spectral angle between the brightness vectors of rocks. Thus, an additional informative feature appeared for the separation of coniferous and deciduous vegetation. To increase the differences between the breeds, the simultaneous integration of spectral channels and seasonal images was carried out. The greatest gain in the distinctiveness of plant species here was obtained by brightness and amounted to 1.61 times compared with the best result of combining only spectral channels. Compared with the best result for one channel, the increase in distinctiveness reached 2.18 times.
