tendency for lower organ involvement of cardiac injury in DM-ILD patients with cardiac injuries could be a potential reason. In conclusion, measurement of serum tenascin-C levels might be an important means to predict cardiac damage in DM patients. Serum tenascin-C levels were elevated irrespective of disease ac - tivity, and tenascin-C might be a novel biomarker to reflect disease state and minor cardiovascular involvement among DM patients.
