The aim of this research is to understand and seek out characteristics of commercial data gloves that are feasible to use in serious exergame projects for hand rehabilitation. In this research, we have collected a list of currently available commercial data gloves from several sources. We holistically considered several implementation and medical aspects. We have found that out of the 12 eligible devices, 9 to 10 devices are feasible to use in hand dexterity tests. There are some critical criteria that can be extracted to decide whether a glove is ably applied in specific dexterity tests. In FMA-UE, the gloves should enable force feedback and have the ability to provide abduction and adduction motion tracking at the thumb position. In ARAT and WMFT metrics, the data glove should be able to provide E/F(Include TM joint) at the thumb to provide a more-refined display of finger movements.
