Aviation maintenance, repair and overhaul intralogistics (MRO intralogistics) is an essential process to ensure the availability and safety of aircraft. This paper proposes an IoT-enabled MRO intralogistics management design to enhance the traceability and visibility of resources and operations. First, the study analyses and establishes the MRO intralogistics process model for well-organising the process. Second, this study proposes a domain model based on Domain-driven Design to simplify IoT-enabled MRO intralogistics management. Third, the work presents the data model and the mechanisms for resource and operation management in MRO intralogistics, showing the simple design to cope with the complex MRO intralogistics. Finally, this study conducts a case study of the proposed IoT-enabled solution in one of the largest MRO organisations to show its benefits.
