ABSTRACT

Flamboyant can be used as livestock feed and processed into silage. The aim of this research is to assess the nutritional quality of flamboyant leaf silage supplemented with rice bran at various C:N ratios. The study took place from August to October 2023. A Completely Randomized Design (CRD) is used in this study with 5 treatments and 4 replications. The treatments being tested are CN35, CN40, CN45, CN50, and CN55. The value on the CN number indicates the C:N ratio in flamboyant leaf silage. Data were analyzed using analysis of variance. The research results show that the highest content of organic matter and crude protein is found in the treatment with a C:N ratio of 55, which are 88.50% and 20.49%, respectively, crude fat content of 3.71% and crude fiber of 17.84%. It can be concluded that flamboyant silage with a C:N ratio of 55 has the best nutritional quality.
