Photoinduced β-fragmentation for efficient pyridine alkylation via N-alkoxypyridinium salts

We established a mild and atom-economical photocatalytic strategy for direct pyridine alkylation via β-fragmentation of N-alkoxypyridinium salts, serving dually as alkyl radical precursors and pyridine sources.
