The transitional nature of emerging adulthood has led to increase research on parenting during the third decade of life. This article principally presents the research trends and themes of parenting in the emerging adulthood field. A total of 2,088 articles on parenting in emerging adulthood were collected from the Web of Science (WoS) during the period 2000–2024, and a bibliometric approach was used. The findings demonstrate that the number of publications has increased since the year 2000; however, the growth has not been systematic, reflecting the diversity of academic disciplines. Furthermore, the study identifies five prominent thematic clusters and demonstrates the rich thematic diversity of parenting research in emerging adulthood, showing that certain topics have diminished, while others have emerged as potential areas of interest. Future studies will help to explore the research on parenting in adolescents, youth, and young adults too.
