This study examines whether work-leisure and work-family conflicts contribute to emotional exhaustion and whether this triggers turnover intention through mediation of quiet quitting. Additionally, it assesses whether there are significant gender differences inthe model. A non-experimental, explanatory, non-probabilistic, cross-sectional study was conducted using electronic surveys. A total of 974 employees in the export manufacturing industry in Mexico participated in the study. A structural equation model with partial least squares was applied, and it was found that both conflicts lead to emotional exhaustion, triggering silent resignation, and ultimately resulting in turnover intention. The model is similar for both men and women. It is recommended that companies identifythe triggers of work-life conflicts and design strategies to address exhaustion and quiet quitting in order to prevent turnover.
