Due to the noise in the original image, it is difficult to accurately extract the flange edge. Therefore, in order to improve the accuracy and efficiency of extracting the flange edge, this paper innovatively proposes a flange edge extraction method based on the mapping projection method. By combining the EPNP algorithm with the bolt hole positioning to calculate the pose R and T of the spatial flange in the camera coordinate system, that is, the pose of the projection plane, then the flange edge in the image coordinate system is inversely mapped to the projection plane, and the flange edge in the projection plane is optimized based on the RANSAC radius constraint to obtain the flange edge points after noise removal. Finally, the obtained Faran edge is mapped to the image coordinate system. This method can precisely extract the flange edge, improving the accuracy and efficiency of flange edge detection.
