It is possible that implementing Blockchain technology into the field of healthcare will change the way know-how is safeguarded, accessed and managed in terms of patient records. This paper proposes a new way to safely store and manipulate electronic health records (EHRs) using blockchain with Aadhaar identification, an Indian biometric identity system. The proposed system will ensure the integrity of data, data confidentiality, and interoperability and prevent unlawful access and alteration. The resolution will use a decentralized ledger that will remove sources of single points of weakness, reduce the threat of data compromise and enable a convenient access to patient records irrespective of the provider used. Aadhaar authentication secures an established connection between patients and medical data, which assures that only the privileged users can have access to vital health data. Smart contracts make the access control process even more automated, allowing permission-based exchange of records between, and across, healthcare providers, insurance firms and regulatory bodies. This paper also discusses barriers such as scalability and ability to meet data security requirements, the potential risks associated with Aadhaar-based health data. The proposed architecture favors greater transparency, the reduction of fraud, and increased control of the patients over their health information through the combination of Blockchain and verification via the Aadhaar scheme.
