ABSTRACT

Three types of muscle tissue are found in the human body: skeletal, cardiac, and smooth. These muscle types exhibit differences in microscopic structure, body location, and function. The purpose of this exercise is to: 1) be able to distinguish the microscopic appearance of the different muscle types 2) know, in general, where the different muscle types are located 3) know, in general, the function of each muscle type
