The life cycle of Attacus mcmulleni, a wild silkmoth endemic to the Andaman Islands (India) in the Bay of Bengal, and its immature stages are described and figured. Comparisons are made to larvae of Attacus atlas and A. taprobanis from nearby regions (Thailand, Sumatra, southern India). Field observations are given on oviposition, larval feeding and behavior, cocoon formation, and adult emergence. Larvae were reared from eggs on Rhizophora apiculata, R. mucronata, Vitex glabrata, and Zanthoxylum. Attacus mcmulleni is apparently multivol- tine. Anastatus sp. (Hymenoptera: Eupelmidae), an egg parasitoid, was the only natural enemy found attacking the moth during this study.
