ABSTRACT

Nitrogen-containing millimeter-scale polymer spheres are produced from poly(acrylonitrile-co-acrylamide) with a facile and efficient spheridization method. After carbonisation and chemical activation by KOH, the resulting carbon spheres show a hierarchically porous structure, with a high nitrogen content and excellent CO2 capture performance, indicating its great potential in large-scale CO2 capture applications.
