ABSTRACT

Abstract Cellulose hydrogels prepared from biomass bagasse with excellent mechanical properties are described in this chapter and the behavior of regenerative medicine is reviewed in relation to their cyto- and biocompatible properties. The application of drug-release materials in particular is a main topic in this chapter, as is the effect of the cellulosic medicine scaffold on ultrasound manipulation of stimulated and controlled medicine release in therapeutic devices.
