ABSTRACT

Abstract The combustion method is a material preparation method that is gaining popularity in the academic and industrial fields due to its simple and economical procedure for the preparation of advanced ceramics, catalysts and nanomaterials. Combustion method offers a flexible approach of obtaining nanomaterials. Energy necessities for the combustion method are constrained to the start step only, since the ideal products are obtained by utilizing the heat generated by exothermic reactions happening between the reactants. An assortment of advanced materials can be incorporated utilizing combustion synthesis, following two unique methods of the combination, one is self-propagating mode and the other is thermal explosion mode. In this review paper, special attention has been paid to some epic advances in nanomaterials and various applications of combustion synthesized nanomaterials.
