Simple Summary Diagnostic delay in soft tissue sarcomas is a common event with important prognostic implications. The authors review the available literature to obtain a general picture of its incidence, causes, and consequences. In addition, available clinical referral guidelines for early suspicion and referral have been proposed but have not provided the desired results. The authors review different proposed methods to improve results while avoiding a collapse of the system.
