Cell-mediated cytotoxicity: an assay using 125 I-iododeoxyuridine-labeled target cells.

An assay of cell-mediated cytotoxicity against monolayer cultured cells by pre-labeling target cell DNA with 125I-iododeoxyuridine is reported. Results are presented demonstrating tumorspecific cellular immunity in two animal tumorhost systems. The technique, as currently being applied to the study of peripheral blood lymphocyte cytotoxicity against human tumor cells, is presented.
