Highlights • Prospective cohort study on bovine respiratory disease (BRD) in a rosé veal farm.• Calves with immunoglobulins < 7.5g/L at arrival have a higher BRD hazard.• Higher BRD hazard when no bovine coronavirus antibodies at arrival.• Higher BRD hazard when no bovine respiratory syncytial virus antibodies at arrival.• These parameters can aid in selection of calves with a reduced BRD risk.
