In the preceding paper the synthesis of thymidine diphosphateglucose by a partially purified enzyme from Pseudomonas aeruginosa was reported (1). It is the purpose of this communication to describe the enzymatic conversion of thymidine diphosphate-glucose to thymidine diphosphate-rhamnose, by enzymes from the same organism, and to describe some of the characteristics of the over-all reaction.
The enzymatic synthesis of thymidine-linked sugars. II. Thymidine diphosphate L-rhamnose.
